Six Day Retreat
At Home 6 – 12 September 2020
Aging with Wisdom and Grace
Many of you might find that unexpectedly you have time on your hands. Perhaps you have six days to give to a retreat? Kardia is offering you an invitation to join us in forming a community of prayer during a six-day retreat while you are at home.
The retreat will be drawn from the book Aging with Wisdom and Grace by Wilkie Au and Noreen Cannon. You can make this a silent retreat or a retreat in daily life. You can choose to pray with one or more readings from the daily suggested readings.
The retreat will begin with a large group session on Sunday morning 6 September. Each day during the week we will meet for group sharing on Zoom (no more than five people) with a spiritual director, and a closing large group session on Saturday 9th May. Upon registration, we will give you some simple instructions on how to access and use Zoom.
The cost of the retreat is $75 – $180. Please decide according to your financial circumstances. Material from Aging with Wisdom and Grace by Wilkie Au and Noreen Canon will be the text used for the retreat. You will also need a Bible. Payment details are on the accompanying email. Please register with payment and order your copy of the book early so that it arrives in time. If you are dependent on overseas postage, we suggest that you order an ebook instead of a hard copy. The book you will need is: Aging with Wisdom and Grace by Wilkie Au and Noreen Cannon – which is published by Paulist Press and can be purchased online through most booksellers. It is also available as an ebook.
We will send more details when you inquire at firstname.lastname@example.org
The online retreat was fantastic. It enabled me to intentionally seek a place of respite and retreat in my own home which I will continue to use moving forward. I found the same quality of connection with my fellow retreatants as I would in a workshop setting. Doing the retreat online really honoured my personal retreat space. Brianne.
The understanding of contemplative listening of the group was amazing and the skill of director – made it feel like individual direction. Kathryn.
Thank you Bernie and Marlene. I feel your own journeys of freedom speak freedom to me. Your work has invited me into my own homecoming. Your trust in the Spirit and joy at what is unfolding in these times encourages me to trust and join this precious work. Kylie.
